Seeking Head Lifeguard for Moonlight Day Camp
We are looking to hire WSI certified head lifeguard for the summer Day Camp in a beautiful bungalow colony in the Catskill Mountains. Moonlight Day Camp serves the Modern Orthodox residents of Moonlight Cottages and neighboring towns and bungalow colonies, with programs and activities for boys and girls from ages 2-11. Your goal as head lifeguard is simple: Ensure the safety, happiness and well-being of our campers as they enjoy the use of our swimming facilities.
Applicants need to be pre-certified before the summer begins to work as head lifeguard, including WSI certification and above legal age requirements (21+). If necessary, we can help cover certification costs. The head lifeguard report to the Camp Director and must attend two days of all-staff orientation and training before camp begins.
Specific Responsibilities
Supervise pool facilities and manage lifeguard staff and present counselors.
Monitor the health, safety and well-being of all people in and around the pool areas under your supervision.
Ensure the water levels and pool environment meet or exceed Board of Health safety standards.
Watch the pool areas as part of a rotation with your co-lifeguards, Sunday-Friday.

All necessary lifeguard certifications, including WSI certification before camp begins (we can help with this).
